I would not be interested in packaging the code myself, not until the code was live with some sort of continuous integration where I could pull from master automatically and/or manage my own fork 
In that case, the link back to the community would be a lot easier and maintained by whatever version control provider is used through the fork.

Just updated the device (and the links in the previous post) so the version I presented today is live. (major bug found, and code all cleaned and commented).
