I just tried to make a small gif of a screen capture. Not only does a short 10 second video become a similar size it doesn’t have great quality in terms of pixel density and framerate. I propose that the forum opens up some of the extension restrictions to compressed and modern formats for video sharing such as webm.
I’ve attached below a zip containing three formats where .mov is the source and the other two are created by converting that. The size comparison is stark between webm and gif while also being much better quality.
I realise server space is an issue, but this could save some and improve quality
