Giving the distance of found neighbor points in a K-D tree

Is there a way to get the distance between specific chosen points in fluid.kdtree~ ?

For instance, when fluid.kdtree~ has found a set of points, it can give their distances if asked. etc.

I know that can easily be done outside the external but that would maybe be quick and easy.
