Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a recent article published on Create Digital Music about a project I’ve been developing called ENDOGEN, a Max/MSP (GUI) + SuperCollider / (core DSP) environment focused on lowercase, microsound, and slow generative processes.
The CDM piece explicitly mentions James (James Bradbury) and FluCoMa, as FluCoMa has become a key part of the system’s current development — particularly for 2D corpus exploration, microsound navigation, and descriptor-driven articulation.
The sytem approaches FluCoMa less as a smart sampler”and more as a way to:
-
explore micro-events, residuals, and low-energy sound materials
-
navigate corpora through slow, non-goal-oriented listening
-
integrate corpus exploration directly into generative and electroacoustic workflows
Here’s the article if you’re curious:

I’m currently expanding this side of the system further (2D corpus navigation, micro-envelope articulation, temporal interpolation), and I thought it might be relevant to share it here, given how central FluCoMa has become in shaping this approach.
Thanks to James and the FluCoMa team the tools have been incredibly inspiring in pushing this work beyond traditional synthesis paradigms.
